Welcome to Howard Bernstein’s exclusive MMSL Weather Blog. Each week during the season, Howard, a meteorologist at WUSA-Channel 9, and long-time friend of the league, will keep MMSLers informed about the regional weather and the vicinity of our parks. Be sure to check here often for updates during the week, especially as the games draw near. And you are invited to blog with Howard about weather issues. Enjoy!

Howard, it started pouring in Woodbridge around midnight. I don't know what that means for Montgomery County, but I'm wondering if games will be on when I wake up in six hours or so. Hope you were right.
It poured across Northern Montgomery between 11 and midnight. Fortunately it worked out, but I sure was surprised by the late thunder.
Often, storms die off after dark unless there is some frotn or upper level energy. Appearantly, there was enough forcing to keep the storms going.
