Saturday, April 26th Update

Well, it won't be as pretty as last week, but I believe that the rain/thunderstorms will hold off until mid-afternoon, so we should be in good shape to play.

There is a slight chance for a shower tonight, but the best chances will be northwest of the DC Metro.

Good thing we don't play on Sundays.

See you on the field!

Saturday, April 26th

We should be OK for Saturday as the best chance for showers/storms will be in the afternoon and evening. That's not to say that we won't see any showers Friday night or Saturday morning, but the timing may just work in our favor.

It will also be another warm day with highs reaching well into the 70s if not some lower 80s.

I'll update again on Friday.

Week 2 won't be so nice...

It was a glorious start to the season, but a front coming for this Saturday will give us scattered showers and thunderstorms. We could even see a shower on Friday. My hope is that we'll be able to hold off on the rain until the afternoon. I'll have a better feel for timing in a couple of days.

Saturday looks Great!

Hold on a second....I was talking about a chance for showers late Saturday but the area of low pressure that will up our rain chances is slowing down.....that means a beautiful Saturday with highs in the 80 degree range, if not warmer.

Bring extra water and don't forget the sunscreen. t this point, unless there's a drastic change, I won't post again until next week

See you on the field and good luck!

Still looking good.....

Saturday still should be good....perhaps we'll see a few more clouds than I was thinking yesterday, and temps will be mainly in the 60s for the games.

I'll post again tomorrow or Thursday with an update.

Opening Day 2008

Saturday's scrimmage/practice at Veirs Mill was a good time as teams from channels 4,5, 7/8 and 9 all showed up. The fields were still damp from Friday night's rain so we played in the grass, but I'm optimistic this Monday morning as I look at the weather maps.

We start the week cold but finish warm. Thursday and Friday will see highs well into the 70s and the next chance for rain should hold off until late Saturday with a better chance on Sunday.

Assuming nothing changes, Saturday morning game temps may start in the 50s and quickly rise through the 60s under partly sunny skies.

See you on the field!
